As a chef who swears by working with the best fresh ingredients, my life is steered by Mother Nature and the seasons. In fact, at my restaurant Maude, we debut a new menu each month that features one seasonal ingredient across ten courses. In winter, I jump at the opportunity to incorporate decadent black truffles or zesty limes into the dishes, and this spring I’ve been so inspired by the fresh strawberries at my local farmer’s market.
So without a doubt, I always look forward to the spring! Spring months should be treasured by enjoying the best produce this beautiful season has to offer like those delicious ripe strawberries, crunchy radishes and so much more. It’s also, of course, the time of year to get everything in order and start anew. To really celebrate and enjoy the different times of the year I always like to throw a few festive gatherings filled with good food from the garden, great conversations, and my closest friends.
While it should come as no surprise that planning a menu for my favorite people and hosting them at home brings the biggest smile to my face, cleaning up afterwards can sometimes be less inspiring. But, since teaming up with Bosch last month, I’ve learned more about the new Bosch dishwasher line, and I have to say that tidying up now is easier than ever and, dare I say, kind of fun!
One of my favorite desserts to serve at a spring gathering is my delicious Pavlova with Strawberries and Rhubarb. The warm crunchy meringue perfectly complements the cool whipped cream and bright-tasting fruit, velvety ice-cream, and it always is a party hit!
I always like to clean as I go when cooking, but even a casual affair with family and close friends can result in a messy kitchen. All those different sized bowls, measuring cups, spatulas and odds and ends utensils haven’t always had their own place in a dishwasher…until now. The new Bosch dishwasher has a really cool feature they call MyWay rack, which I’ve found to be a perfect spot for those items that need a good wash but won’t properly stack with all those dirty plates, glasses, and pans.

My favorite part of hosting a dinner party? Inviting my guests to get involved in the cooking. But who would dream of asking their guests to clean up? We’ve all been there—the dinner has been served, the wine glasses have been sipped dry, and it’s time for the evening to come to an end. Usually, one or two guests might offer to roll up their sleeves to wash up. And I get it—you most likely, and graciously, turn down the help. With that in mind, Bosch and I recently hosted a dinner party for 20 people and gave them a bit of a surprise… I didn’t exactly make them sing for their supper, but did ask that they get their hands a bit dirty! Watch what happens when they got a load of the variety of features in the new Bosch dishwasher line.
See, isn’t it fun to have a cheeky trick or two up your sleeve?
I wish you and your family a fun and eventful spring, filled with fresh, delicious meals, special conversations, and lots of clean dishes!
