From farm-fresh produce like corn on the cob and ripe tomatoes to cool, refreshing dishes like chilled gazpacho, one of my favorite things about summer is the delicious, seasonal food it offers. To make the most of this time of year, I’ve created a tasty seasoning blend to celebrate the flavors of summer. If you’re looking for an easy, DIY seasoning mix, look no further.
I firmly believe that spices, herbs, and seeds are secret weapons in the kitchen (after amazing appliances, of course). A tiny sprinkle of the right seasonings has a major impact on your food. But, for me, cooking should be quick, easy and fun. Best of all, my DIY seasoning mix can be made in about 5 minutes, can keep for nearly a month, and you likely have many of the ingredients already in your pantry. Just mix these dry ingredients together for a zesty seasoning mix that is sure to find its way into every breakfast, lunch and dinner this summer!DIY SEASONING MIX
